Before now, you register with Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) and its sub-units like NPDC, NAPIMS, Port Harcourt refinery, etc one after the other. Today, you can complete all the registration at one point.

The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) is the Oil Corporation through which the Federal Government of Nigeria regulates and participates in the country’s petroleum industry. The NNPC business operations are managed through Strategic business and corporate services units (SBUs/CSUs) in diverse locations across Nigeria. Consequent to this, the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) initiated a recruitment scheme and since then, until date the NNPC recruitment has been a yearly scheme.

Nigerian registered companies that wish to conduct business with NNPC require to go through a registration process with the required documents. The registration initiative is designed with the principal aim of entrenching transparency into the contracting and procurement process, enhancing excellence in vendor capabilities and increasing visibility of contract opportunities to indigenous contractors/suppliers with the following attendant benefits to the contracting community:

NNPC has a new strategy of managing contractors as part of its transformation initiative. Under the new initiative, contract values have been grouped into two different financial threshold:

1.       Contracts value up to N25m ( twenty five million naira)

2.       Contracts value above  N25m ( twenty five million naira)

Contractors, vendors and suppliers who wish to operate within the threshold of N25m (twenty five million naira) are required to be pre- qualified and registered with the NIGERIAN PETROLEUM EXCHANGE (NIPEX) as per the requirements. This Registration will provide them access to both NNPC contracts and others like Royal Dutch Shell, Agip, Exxonmobil, Total S.A, Chevron, Texaco, etc in the Nigerian oil and gas industry.
