NIPEX (Nigerian Petroleum Exchange)

NIPEX (Nigerian Petroleum Exchange) is an electronic one-stop transaction centre that improves on value procurement in the oil and gas industry and institutionalizes world-class contracting processes in Nigeria.

The Nigerian Petroleum Exchange (NipeX) is a Division of NAPIMS, a Corporate Service Unit of NNPC. It is an electronic contracting platform. It is a virtual community and collaborative environment that delivers significant value to all Stakeholders in the Nigerian Upstream Oil and Gas Industry. It links Buyers and Suppliers by establishing industry-wide standards for business transactions, and provides a comprehensive suite of capabilities, which includes a platform for showcasing contract opportunities

NipeX audits are carried out at the last stages of your NJQS registration steps. The audits are for new suppliers when registering with Nigerian Petroleum Exchange, NipeX is an NNPC. There are two (2) types of NipeX audits when a supplier is registering for the first time. The NipeX Desktop Pre-Audit and NipeX Onsite Audit. NipeX means Nigerian Petroleum Exchange.

Upon completion of NipeX Registration Questionnaire, you will receive a mail containing NipeX Desktop Pre-Audit Assessment Requirements. At Desktop Pre-Audit, you are to submit all registration documents via online (email) before you will be scheduled for an onsite audit.

NipeX will go through your documents, if satisfied, you will get a notification.

After you have submitted all registration documents via online, NipeX will send you an email notifying you that Desktop Audit has been closed out and you will be notified for Onsite Audit date in due time. The mail may look like the below title:

The email will read like “As part of the NJQS requirement for prequalification and categorisation of suppliers onto the NJQS scheme, your company xxXXx LIMITED. has now been scheduled for an Assessment/Audit on xxxxx at your office, #103 xxxxxxxxxxxx.

(2) NJQS Assessment/Audit Guidelines

(3) NJQS Statutory

(4) NJQS SUPPLIER INFO – Completed by Supplier and presented during audit.

 

NipeX Desktop Pre-Audit Requirements List

Your NipeX Joint Qualification System (NJQS) registration will be completed when the JQS Onsite Audit has been carried out by NipeX Auditor and closed. Upon completion of this stage of your registration, your company will be migrated to NipeX and the e-Marketplace platform. The NipeX e-Bidding platform for Buyers and Suppliers of all Oil & Gas Companies in Nigeria.

Time and space will fail us to list all the NJQS Onsite Audit Requirements but we listed the headings that have many sub-heading on each of the headings.

Note: Renewal Audit shall be carried out every three years
